전시 [Mix Kebab Compilation 2022~2024]는 10.29 이태원 참사에 관련된- 혹은 꼭 그 참사를 확실하게 가리키고 있지 않더라도, 이태원이라는 지역이나 애도라는 행위 그리고 그 언저리에 위치한 시선을 담은 다양한 형태의 작업과 기록물들을 모은 아카이브 전시이다.
깃발옆차기가 참여 제안을 하고, 그 제안을 수락한 작가, 활동가, 개인, 공간 운영자 등 각 43명의 주체들이 참여해 자료를 제공하였다.
각 주체가 제공한 사진/그림/글/소리/기록물/포스터 등의 자료들은 전송받은 그대로 A4용지에 프린트되어 주체가 제공한 이름의 가나다 순에 맞추어 전시된다. 그리고 전시된 것과 동일한 자료가 흑백으로 10부씩 복사되어 전시장에서 배포된다. 관람객은 전시장에서 원하는 배포용 작업물과 자료들을 선택하고 구비된 스테이플러로 제본해, 각자의 진zine으로 만들어 가져갈 수 있다.

*5장 이상의 자료를 제공하며 선택 권한을 깃발옆차기에게 양도한 경우, 깃발옆차기에 의해 5장 이내로 선별되어 전시되었다.
*본 아카이브 전시는 깃발옆차기라는 기획자/수집자가 참여를 제안하고 자료를 모은 것이므로, 각 개별 참여자의 의도와 상관없이 재맥락화되거나 오역된 언어가 발생할 수 있음을 명시한다.
*자료를 추가로 제공하고 싶은 주체는 전시 기간 동안 전시장에서 자료를 업로드하거나, flagsidekick@gmail.com에 메일로 업로드 가능하다. 본 전시의 목적은, 적어도 우리가 지금 발견하고 채집 가능한 이태원 참사/ 이태원/ 애도에 관한 흩어진 발화들을 수집해, 가시화된 작은 애도의 장소로 만드는 데에 있다.

Mix Kebab Compilation 2022–2024 is an archive exhibition presenting various artworks and records that reflect on the 10.29 Itaewon disaster. Even if the works do not directly address the tragedy, they embody acts of mourning rooted in the Itaewon area and the perspectives shaped around it.
43 participants—including artists, activists, space operators, and others who accepted the invitation from the artist collective Flagsidekick—have contributed materials for this exhibition. These materials include photographs, paintings, writings, sound recordings, posters, and more. Each piece is printed as it was received on A4 paper and displayed in Korean alphabetical order based on the names provided by the participants.
In addition, black-and-white copies of each material (10 copies per piece) are freely available to visitors. Visitors can select the works or documents they wish to keep, bind them with a stapler, and create their own zine.

* When more than five pieces were submitted and the right of selection was delegated to Flagsidekick, they selected up to five works per participant.
* As this archive exhibition is a collection initiated by the collective Flagsidekick, re-contextualization or mistranslation may occur regardless of the original intent of the individual contributors.
* Participants who wish to provide additional materials may submit them via email (flagsidekick@gmail.com) during the exhibition period.
This exhibition aims to gather and give form to even the smallest, scattered voices about the Itaewon disaster, Itaewon, and mourning, creating a modest visualized space of remembrance.
